From Antibes to Corsica
It was a great week: great sailing…well motoring, great scenery, great company and great jokes (the last one is a bit of an exaggeration)!!!
We had a really brilliant week surpassing all our expectations. The locations were wonderful- the scenery around the coast of Corsica particularly spectacular. We think it was very clever of the skipper to have steered a course that not only directed us to the right port, but also managed to take in the local wildlife. Dolphins performing acrobatics around the boat was magical but seeing those enormous whales was awesome (you don’t see that in Dartmouth). Loved the bays and the turquoise seas…tho’ not the jelly fish…Sarah you were very brave when you were stung by that nasty pink stripey one (Pelagia noctiluca). First mate, as usual, cooked up some delicious dishes whilst the captain cooked up more dodgy stories about famous battles where the English always hammered the French. The weather was wonderful, the wine flowed freely and we would like to come back next week.
Hope the winds are set fair for the rest of your trip. We are looking forward to being entertained in Bristol fashion in the Autumn.
